Animatic 2/3

– There are limited visuals in this animatic as i focus mainly on sound and have other parts planned just not yet put together.

– I was able to incorporate a news report clip regarding the use of face masks. I felt that this was appropriate as we are currently living in the Coronavirus Pandemic where face masks have now been deemed compulsory. I felt as though i was able to link this in to the topic of my film.

-This has now helped my have a new stand point and focus on my film which is ‘vulnerability’.

In my next animatic I plan on adding more still images to show a clearer version of my plan for my film.

Animatic Ideas 1

Showing the difference between a soldier and a civilian especially during these times of COVID can have may similarities, one being the wearing of a face mask. this could be an idea I expand on.

I plan to show a soldier in his suit and gas mask and flash a warning sign over the top of that image. I am trying not to be so literal, therefore the images being portrayed are going to be very neutral.

The Toxic gas warning sign will be a fun idea to play on, as I would like to animate the skull talking along side in sync with my voice track. This can also be seen as filler images/scenes.

News Article:

This September 11th front page news article was published on September 12th for the New York Times. This news headline was something that would kick start one of the worlds most dangerous wars during modern society “The War on Terror”.

I plan to use news paper articles in my film as backgrounds, due to its theme.

British Army Confidence Advert

This British Army advert is something that may deem useful in my research. The message is very clear within the advert especially within the short amount of time. We see outside civilians try to persuade this solider to follow their routine/way of life however after the suspense build up, that is quickly rejected as another solider gives him a boost in moral and confidence. I feel that an advert like this is important as is is very relatable to the society we currently live in and can show that we do not need to conform to the ‘norm’ and it is important we focus on ourselves.
